I haven't looked at the configuration options of mpg123 or xmms.
On FreeBSD I usually install the package from the ports tree. Xmms
usually has an esound output plugin but non for nasd.
I guess on NetBSD there is an mpg123-esound package bot non for NAS.
Also mpg123 doesn't seem to have a Gnu style configuration.
