Now that is magic. According to Abramo Bagnara of ALSA, this is a libc
problem - some routines calling libc-internal variants of open, write,
etc... and what would be needed to Make It Work would be to split out
stdio from libc as a separate library and make that use the normal file
i/o functions, then preload that lib as well.

Sounds like much work to me :)=

The UNIX philosophy basically involves giving you enough rope to
hang yourself.  And then a couple of feet more, just to be sure.
